故事梗概
瑞恩为邀请托马斯做他的舞伴而暗自练习华尔兹，他不知道托马斯即将离开美国。一个午后，托马斯与瑞恩道别，托马斯也因此知道了瑞恩的秘密。

刘弢出生成长于北京，取得金融本科学位后，赴美学习电影导演MFA。对她而言电影是最好的个人表达和视觉传达媒介，她认为影像有更大的包容性和更广泛的语义解读层面。 刘弢的作品的主题主要关于死亡、回忆、家庭内部的创伤和纽带，人类微妙细小的情感纠葛以及都市人的精神生活困境。她创作的故事着迷于人类情感的刻画，捕捉那些曼妙珍贵、转瞬即逝的瞬间和美丽易碎的关系。

我对于人与人之间暗涌的感情非常着迷，因为自我精神和外界环境的限制，人很多情感不能表露。决心敞开心扉的时刻，是一段情感中的华彩片段，我用这个发生在一天内的故事，塑造一份有时效性却美丽珍贵的感情。过去和未来不重要，把握当下，随心而动。

Synopsis
Ryan practices waltz secretly for inviting Thomas to be his dance partner, but he does not know that Thomas will leave the United States soon. An afternoon, Thomas says goodbye to Ryan, and he accidentally realizes Ryan’s secret.
Director Biography
Born and raised in Beijing, Tao Liu received her undergraduate degree in finance and went to the U.S. to study MFA in film directing; for her, film is the best medium for personal expression and visual communication, and she believes that images have a greater inclusiveness and a wider semantic interpretation. The themes of Tao Liu’s work are mainly about death, memories, trauma and bonds within families, the subtleties and nuances of human emotions, and the plight of urban people’s spiritual lives. Her stories are fascinated by the portrayal of human emotions, capturing those delicate, precious, fleeting moments and beautiful, fragile relationships.
Director’s Statement
I am fascinated by the darkness of human emotions that cannot be revealed because of the limitations of the self and the external environment. The moment when I resolve to open my heart is a gorgeous fragment of an emotion, and I use this story that happens in one day to shape a time-bound but beautiful and precious relationship. The past and the future do not matter, grasp the present moment and follow your heart.
