本片描述了一次暗恋的旅程，分享了两种文化、信仰、种族和性向之间的冲突。一个名叫刘洋的、没有安全感的亚洲男孩，在影片中娓娓道来他被信仰和种族因素禁锢的灵性、情感以及性欲，向我们讲述他在伦敦爱上那个基督徒的故事。

A story sharing the clash of two cultures and sexual orientations for love. A young Asian man, Yang Liu, who is an insecure homosexual, but secretly falls in love with a white Christian in London, tells his journey of spirituality, emotions and sexuality blocked by the factor of faith and race.

潘楚乔，编剧、导演，伦敦电影学院电影制作硕士。2024年，携其导演的长片电影项目《红雀》，入围第二十六届上海国际电影节电影项目创投“青年导演项目”单元；2024年，编剧、导演的短片《催生》获第57届休斯敦国际电影节官方短片竞赛单元银雷米奖；编剧、导演的短片《基督徒》获第57届休斯敦国际电影节官方短片竞赛单元铜雷米奖。

Chuqiao Pan, screenwriter and director, holds a Master’s degree in Filmmaking from the London Film School. In 2024, his feature film project Red Sparrow was selected for the “Young Directors Project” section of the 26th Shanghai International Film Festival Film Project Market. In the same year, his short film Her Portrait, which he wrote and directed, won the Silver Remi Award in the Official Short Film Competition at the 57th Houston International Film Festival. Additionally, his short film Christian, also won the Bronze Remi Award in the Official Short Film Competition at the 57th Houston International Film Festival.

在基督教中，同性恋是不可接受的行为。哪怕二人真心相爱，圣经也必然讉责同性恋，并认为此行为并不自然，违背了神的创造秩序。

在基督教中, 爱是宇宙万物的本原、人类生活的核心。 作为一个中心实在, 它最具创造性力量, 神正是出于爱而创造了世界。( 5若望一书6 4: 16)

然而，我们一般认为, 爱是人的一种基本情感, 是对美好事物的愉悦和欣赏, 以及由此引发的渴慕、维系、促进乃至与之合一的情感。而性少数群体仍然应该拥有爱慕他人与别人爱慕的权利。

在救赎论中, 基督徒以爱为出发点, 通过神的爱和对神的爱得获救赎。这也是我创作《基督徒》的初衷，故事的主人公刘洋，来自远离西方宗教文化的中国，无可救药地爱上了一位生活在伦敦的、信仰基督教的白人直男，在通过他对自己和基督教的探索中，试图完成他的救赎。爱作为一种执著, 是否应该与宗教、性别、肤色有关，是本片我试图谈论的主题。

Homosexuality is an unacceptable behavior in Christianity. Even if the two people love each other sincerely, the Bible considers this behavior to be unnatural and destructive of God’s order.

In Christianity, love is the origin of everything in the universe and the core of human life. As the central reality, it has the most creative power, and God created the world out of love.

However, we generally believe that love is a basic human emotion, which is the joy and appreciation of all the beautiful things in the world. And sexual minorities should still have the right to love and be loved by others.

As a kind of natural behavior of human beings, whether love should be related to religion, gender and skin color is the topic that this production would like to discuss in this film.In soteriology, Christian obtains salvation through God’s love and love for other people, which is the original inspiration of creating “Christian”. The protagonist of the story, Yang, comes from China, which is far from the Western religious culture. He secretly falls in love with a heterosexual white Christian living in London. By exploring himself and the religion of the person he loves, he accidentally completes his salvation.
